Skele Ships should be vunerable to Demasting/Arnchoring/Boarding.

  • First off: It's fair. PvE ships essentially are in a constant state of breaking the rules of the game.

Secondly: It gives players a way to practice these motions in low-stakes scenarios, encouraging confidence to engage.

If I could, I'd also like to make a small suggestion for PvE boarding.

Skele Ships spawn with a Gunpowder Cache barrel on their ship. It cannot be destroyed (Has no HP, cannot be cannon'd, firebomb'd, or sword'd), but interacted with, much like a hole on a ship. You interact, character "Holds" animation for clacking two flint stones together. Success - 10 second timer that Skellies now also move to intercept and put out, if they fail? Boom.

  • If you were able to do all those things. It make Skelton ships worthless. More than they been deemed to be

They already done bucket enough of at all and barely patch up holes fast enough before they sink. How much easier you want them to be.

If anything. They should allow skeletons to board your ship and drop anchor as well. That way you learn to defend your own ship as well.

  • I don’t see a problem with this, its just how physics should be in the game

I'm not suggesting this to make them "easier". I'm suggesting this so that there's some level of parity between PvE and PvP ships.

I don't understand. You seem to agree with me already that Skele ships don't have much worth. But you don't want them to improved so that some PvE experience translates over to PvP?

  • I think this is a case of just keeping it simple. It would add a lot of extra actions that the server would have to manage, as well as require development on the AI to be able to raise and repair masts and lift the anchor.

It would be nice to have these things, but the amount of effort required to implement properly probably outweighed the benefits of doing it.

  • I agree with @xDreegan and @D3ADST1CK. I think this is a "can't" rather than a "won't". I think it would be an improvement if they could be demasted and anchored, and I'm sure the devs could come up with creative ways to rebalance them so it's not just a nerf. I just think the amount of work it would take would be like a whole season's worth of content though so probably not going to happen.
