Can't hear voice chat

    I'm playing through steam. I played 1.5-2 years ago and had no issue. Picked the game back up, and can't hear voice chat. I've seen people use text chat to speak to people with mics but I can't hear the person with the mic nor see the indicator above their head. When I speak, I see the indicator top right but am unsure if people can hear me (I haven't tested honestly.) I can't hear other crews nor my own crew.

    In SOT settings, Audio output format is default
    crew chat volume is 80
    crew chat output is set to "speakers" (windows sound settings recognizes my headset as speakers. changing setting to "headphones" doesn't work either.)
    proximity chat volume is 80
    player chat indicator is on
    mute all other crews voice chat is set to "No"

    In xbox settings,
    Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites is set to Everyone

    In windows sound settings, "speakers" is set to my default device.

    in xbox game bar, input and output devices are set correctly

    I had the xbox desktop app uninstalled so i reinstalled it and have been hopping from open crew to open crew hoping I hear something. No luck yet. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

    Yeah I have the same problem. I checked everything and I can't even use text chat or xbox parties. I just let my friends negotiate. It could be your PC mic settings in settings if you on windows. also check game bar: click windows + G. if nothing works, that makes two of us

    Is there one in Steam? For voice chat? Maybe that turned off...

    Or! (and this happens for me) i need to restart the game.

    Or! (needed to do this before) restart PC/console

    Or! (last case) uninstall-reinstall

    @snugplayer18335 Dang, you can't use text chat either? Have you signed into the xbox website and checked your settings there? That's all I can think of if it won't let you text or join a party. Wishing you luck, man.

    @shadowfox327533 Voice chat works in other steam games, restarting the game doesn't work, and restarting my pc doesn't work. I've been putting off uninstalling and reinstalling since the game is so big but I'll have no choice pretty soon here. Thank you.

    Yeah it stinks. I can't even hear my non friend open crew members. I have tried it ALL

    @zildjyn6803 SOLVED: The problem was Cloudflare WARP. If anyone else is having this problem and you have WARP installed, disable it when you play SOT. If it still doesn't work, try fully uninstalling it and restarting your PC.

    @snugplayer18335 Hey, I got it to work. Are you on PC? If you have Cloudflare WARP installed, you might need to disable it before you play SOT.

    Been using microsoft store. I have done everything. I have been playing for over a year and I still can't hear anyone.

    @snugplayer18335 Check the birthday you put into your microsoft account. If it thinks you're underage, it might block communications entirely. If you have a VPN, you could try disabling it and seeing if that works. Otherwise like Shadow Fox said, if you've been dealing with it for over a year, I'd submit a ticket to support here
