So I think the captain of the ship should have more power. I was playing open crew on my galleon, The Crusty Crab, and These two guys joined and promptly started goofing off. One guy kept graple gunning me to the top of the mast while I was trying to purchase supplies and dropping me on the deck. the other guy started throwing blunder and firebombs at me, and wasted every one on the ship. But I saw that I couldn't lock them up, you have to vote, and I couldn't even kick them off! Eventually, both left, and I had peace. Then I started hourglass, and some more people joined. I also think a feature for HG that stops players from playing chicken would be nice, because we spent a while just circling each other. We sank our opponent and started looting. And what loot! This guy was Pro. He had tons of crates and emmissaries, and his barrels were full to the brim. Aaaaand it happened. I grabbed a barrel, and opened it. I saw the stuff in it. I picked up a crate to empty it, and my idiot crewmate dropped it in the water before I could empty it. It promptly despawned. I got another. SPLASH! Another. SPLASH! and so on. I was getting really mad, because he had hours of HG supplies, and it all got deleted. Then they left half the treasure behind despite my attempts to stop them, and started sailing away! when I grabbed the wheel, the dirty rats locked me in the brig! I know open crew is risky, but this is ridiculous! I think the captain should be able to ban players, and not get locked in the brig. because the 2 kids on my ship (the second ones) were playing together, so I couldn't lock them up, but they could lock me, the captain up! I don't think that's fair that they have control over me, on my own ship, and I can't do anything about it. And reporting doesn't help because it's not immediate and it doesn't always get them banned. We need this fixed.
More open crew captain liberties?
So I think the captain of the ship should have more power.
Power is Respect, without it, your just another Pirate.
One guy kept graple gunning me to the top of the mast while I was trying to purchase supplies and dropping me on the deck.
Seem like it was a sign saying "Lets go" Language barrier is always a problem.
These two guys joined and promptly started goofing off.
When did Goofing around become toxic??
the other guy started throwing blunder and firebombs at me, and wasted every one on the ship.
Hmm yeah that troublesome.
Eventually, both left, and I had peace.
So it was solved out of bordem
I also think a feature for HG that stops players from playing chicken would be nice, because we spent a while just circling each other.
Dont worry, Circle will shrink. (or get better at naval combat)
I picked up a crate to empty it, and my idiot crewmate dropped it in the water before I could empty it. It promptly despawned.
Accident? and how long did it stay in the water before it Despawned/Vanished/sunk....
it all got deleted.
Explain, did it physically vanish or sink? Because Crates suppose to slowly sink to bottom of the sea, and after you grab it once, the timer restarts...
Then they left half the treasure behind despite my attempts to stop them, and started sailing away!
Maybe because to them the Loot wasnt worth it? idk, depending on Communication.
I think the captain should be able to ban players, and not get locked in the brig.
So you tell me, when you join a random crew yourself in the future. Do some work together and JUST before you sail...They Ban you. Would you be okie with that?
We need this fixed.
Open Crew needs a fixing yes, but Captain ships are just title only. Respect the Captain. But also comes with players actions. Mutany.
Remember, Changes you requested also can be used badly against good players.
Yeah. He threw the barrels back in the water and they instantly despawned. The original 2 guys did seem bored, but as I had just started and was visibly grabbing supplies, I was annoyed. Loot was totally worth it. Bro was committed. He had multiple grade 5 flags and over 30 crates and boxes. Bro just pushed me out of the way and started sailing. I think he dropped the stuff on purpose. If he'd have asked about doing something or not doing something, I'd have listened. but seeing as he didn't... I just don't like inviting players on my own ship, and have them push me around, despite being a great captain. I understand that that can be abused, it's just if 2 guys get on your ship and take over, and no one else is around, what do you do? besides leaving, which it's your own ship and you have to pay for repairs takes itself off the menu. Though I dislike open crew, I am trying to get HG xp, and solo captaining is a terrible idea when my friends don't show up.
@snugplayer18335
Yes, that sounds annoying, but here is my question: what if the captain of the ship you are joining has banned you for no apparent reason, just because they are toxic? The only way you're going to get that issue "fixed", is if you play with members you've gotten to know, and trust. Everytime I play with randoms, I don't expect anything, and wait to be surprised when amazing members join.
Well, I personally wouldn’t care if I got locked up first thing by the captain, because then I could just leave and get on a different ship right away. Even if we had been grinding, I still would be on the ship, and get credit for selling. The thing was was that I had some decent guys on board, then the rude guys joined after the guys left. Like I said, open crew is not my thing, but I need HG reputation. I hate solo captaining PvP. But here is my scenario: Imagine you are having a good day, you have raided multiple forts of fortune, and you’ve just wrapped up on FotD. Then a group of some thug players join, and start pushing you around. And you say you want to go to reapers hideout and sell, then do molten sands fortress. They want to do XYZ and lock you in the brig. What do you do? Reporting doesn’t help.
