so i was playing via Steam and "Me Mates" and i stopped to doom scroll youtube shorts for a bit and i came across this beauty.

it got me thinking... we need this in Sea Of Thieves! well maybe not the surfing or maybe yes? ... imma keep my requests narrowed at least to the super waves in some form for now but i wouldn't object to anything special added along with it.

here a number of people have offered their interest and we all seem to be in agreement that HUGE WAVES in some form would be a great addition. i read that the waves in game account for a significant portion of the performance requirements and i understand if there are limitations... What you've created with the water was my first draw to the game, and maybe that sentiment is shared by others. Would be great to see how far you can take it and maybe some method of bringing WORLD ENDER waves to the game would be great!
some areas where i think such waves would fit in would be:

new super sea monster... maybe triggered by some trinket or hazard chest of the players or as part of special events... huge thing bursts from the waters and causes a freak wave but in locations far from any of the islands.

maybe they could be added as a continuous wave generation moving along the world boarder but close enough inside so captain who want a challenge may attempt to navigate them with a significant speed boost if they catch the wave just right bringing them along for a ride with their ships for as long as they can hold the slide...
anyways the wave tech in Sea of Thieves is so great that when i return to other experiences with oceans and water in general, i find myself feeling... disappointed.
