New Grade 5 Emissary Tools

  • Each Trading Company with an Emissary Flag unlocks the new following grade 5 benefits:

Gold Hoarders - Compass of Fortune

This emerald and gold themed compass points to the most valuable loot item currently on the server which is not buried. This does not include any loot which has a beacon or map marker tied to it.

    Order of Souls - Divination

Players receive whispers from Madame Olivia when an important Skeleton is within 2 map tiles, such as a Skeleton Captain, Ashen loot skeleton, or boss skeleton.

    Merchant Alliance - Restocking

Your ship gains a supply crate other crews can purchase supplies from as if purchasing merchant crates. If your ship is sunk, players will gain one of each of the crates. The same Merchant purchase restrictions apply to this supply crate. Any money earned from selling supplies goes to the players & goes through their Merchant Emissary Bonus

Hunter's Call - Deal with the Depths

You now spawn any missing Shrine or Treasury loot that would need a bottle quest when you see the banner of the Shrine or Treasury. This ability is on a 15 minute cooldown.

Athena's Fortune - Secrets of the Seas

Athena's Fortune players receive hazy visions of the location of emergent encounters or the mast voyage whenever one spawns or they begin the voyage.

Reaper's Bones - The Flame Calls

If no Emissary Flags can be found on the server, Reaper's Bones players can vote to dive to a random location in a new server that contains Emissary flags. However, they cannot spawn within 4 map tiles of an Emissary Player to avoid accidental pop up invasions.

    Guild Flag

The guild leader can set one of any of these abilities for their guild to take advantage of. Honestly not even sure on this one or what guilds could receive

  • I like all of these other than the guild one, but there are 2 I would change.

Order of Souls instead gains the ability to see every active skeleton ship on the map, and Merchant Alliance gains the ability to see every active shipwreck.

But other than that these are all pretty good, I think the Reaper bonus would be especially popular.

  • Guild certainly needs something. Right now, being marked as a massive target in exchange for a tiny bit more gold and rep is not a trade I'm willing to make.

    Hunter's Call - Give a Merrick's Recipe voyage

Merchant - Give a selection of Cannon/Fruit/Wood/Keg delivery voyages.

  • Compass: Oh boy I can't wait to go to a king skull someone left on a beach halfway across the server, or to be pointed at the box of wondrous secrets sitting out there in the roar unattended. Genuinely useless tool, especially when mega stashes exist. If it can see the treasure in vaults it would be used to check vaults for mega stashes. If it can't see treasure in vaults it will point you towards one basically worthless loot item.

Divination: Why would we care if a skeleton captain or ashen skeleton is anywhere near us when we can go to our map table and make them appear whenever we want already?

Restocking: No one would care about that and would just sink you for it. Also if you can buy from it yourself it gives you an advantage, and if you can't it's useless.

Deal with the Depths: Why? What value is added to the game because you can spawn one loot item? Also the cool down is meaningless because it takes 15 minutes to get from shrine to shrine.

Secrets of the Sea: World events and emergent voyages already have world and map markers. Mast voyages already give you a map, if you need more help than a map, you probably google all the islands every time you get a quest.

Flame Calls: Ah yes, give the annoying TDMs an even EASIER way to ruin peoples experiences. Diving is said to have ruined the game already, so lets make it worse for all players involved.

Guild: Too broken of an ability.
