JUMPING REALLY NEED REFORMS

  • Hi! I really think the jumping needs reforms when it comes to it being used in combat.

    For example, in my opinion, you shouldn't be able to just spam jump endlessly without a downside to it, like a speed decrease after each jump or the inability to evade combat by jumping backwards.

    Jumping while fighting is a nice mechanic, but there's no consequence when we spam it. I think it would make combat a lot more fun and challenging because it would force us to use all the other mechanic already in the game.

    Not more fun, but more annoying.

  • Firstly, tools, not rules. You have the same tools at your disposal, you don't need special rules to "level" a level playing field. Secondly, not allowing jumps to be limitless means that a player who is better at traversal will be able to disproportionately attack his opponent based on the fact that they run out of "movement resources (stamina, whatever)" before them rather than having a lack of skill. I don't want the game to be inventory manager on the seas. We don't need a stamina bar.

    Jumping around like a lunatic makes your positioning easier to predict. Please everyone continue to do so.

    My opinionnis when junping should have a cooleown sword spamming should also have a cooldown. And come on you are just annoyed of doublegunnerw destroying you

    Jumping is already a downside. The consequence is you become extremely easy to predict and will likely die doing it if you're against a good player.

    Most good players jump with purpose. If you're just spamming M1 with a sword then you'll never be able to punish their jumps.

  • @dragonlazer2930 what’s the problem with people who jump a lot for you? They are only easier to hit since they fall in a predictable arc
