Sea of thieves has really developed into something special. But it’s missing one thing… the social aspect. Back when arena was around, some of the most fun I had was messing around in the waiting lobby with other crews. I would love to see a sort of social hub where many crews can get together and chill. Maybe have some parkour like the waiting lobby. But I would really love to see some gambling games so I can spend my hard earned gold irresponsibly. Maybe the old arena building could have a remodel or maybe it’s a new thing. I think that it should have its own server in a way. I don’t know the specifics but I’m itching for it…

Gambling won't happen ever. Simply due to legal/rating reasons.

SoT (PEGI 12) is a teen rated & advertised game, and you can actually see the rating on SoT Steam Store page. Any sort of gambling is automatically breaching that (PEGI 18)

Take a read if you want. You can hover with your mouse over each PEGI number on the right and read descriptions.

Also, if you hover over gambling icon - before 2020 gambling was falling under PEGI 12/16 for some games, but after 2020 it got changed strictly to PEGI 18.

Gambling can't be added because of the game's maturity rating being T(een). If you want to mimic it, here's my suggestion:

• Gather Galleon of 4 TRUSTED Crewmates
• Gather lucrative loot, such as a Chest of Legends or Dubloon items
• All 4 gather around, and on the dealer's draw, everyone rolls a D6 in-game. The highest number wins.
• If there is a tie, the tied players reroll until the tie is broken
• Everyone excluding the winner leaves the ship
• The winner turns the loot item in

If you want, you can spread the loot items out evenly as a form of "chips", and have people buy into rounds instead of rolling for the whole pile at once. You can even change the dice roll for other challenges. Hope this lil minigame is enjoyable!

But it’s missing one thing… the social aspect

Players create these moments. Doesn’t have to be forced or happy in a social club. Two ships meet on an island and….talk or not.

I wish they would add gambling and just change the rating. I feel like not being rated T would open up more opportunities for new content. Heck this is a pirate game, pirates aren't really the pinnacle of family friendly.

Anything with any kind of gambling, real value or not, would cause the game to have a higher age rating
