Mermaids have no reason to be solid

There is no reason for mermaids to be solid in ways that break a grapple line, or can block a grapple line. If a mermaid can block my grapple line, I want to be able to grapple to a mermaid. I know that that is overpowered, so I don't actually think it should be in the game, the point is that if the mermaid is solid enough to break my grapple line and stop my grapple from connecting, I should be able to go through it once my grapple has connected. I have had too many occasions where I try to grapple to a boat and the mermaid spawns DIRECTLY in front of me AFTER (For the people with bad reading comprehension, read this part multiple times) I shoot the grapple and it forces me to break the line. I do not get a say in when or where a mermaid spawns, so the fact that they spawn often enough to break my line that it happens multiple times per fight is infuriating beyond belief.
