Pirates' Life and Monkey Island were big hits. Each brought in a new audience and spiced up the game. If done right, with a very enjoyable series of tall tales, some microtransactions through the plunder pass and emporium as a whole, and a really good trailer, a One Piece collab would do wonders to add more life. There's so much potential at what Rare could do if it were to happen. It's a win-win, more money for them and more people playing, plus the people will have fun.

That world is too 'crazy' for SoT. Too many things, and bet you they add those silly Devil fruits or nerf versions (only for people to complain)

again, short lived. I rarely ever hear people talk about the TT and what they added with them, nor anyone who unlocked everything. Ive yet to meet a crew of pirates who has either Songs you unlock.
@burnbacon I think the lack of a good hype cycle is less down to bad content and more down to bad advertising. 11% of players have the pirates life achievements, and on average the achievements for the 6 outposts have about 16%. Just having the card in the main menu and the emporium ads isn't going to be enough to make players interested to play it. It doesn't show what any of its about, and it doesn't even attempt to create intrigue. The people who watched the trailer played it and that was about it, because the advertising sorta stopped.
I think out of all the collabs thus far One Piece would actually add the most life because it feels like a universe that would add a lot of roleplay potential and good gear. Also anything specific to the anime could stay within the tall tale, like rootbeer and other things relating to tall tales.
I love the tall tale unlocks, I think one of the coolest sets in the game is the damned set, I rock it all the time. My favourite song to play is Yo Ho. I play it every time I board someone elses boat pretty much. Find some joy
@burnbacon I agree, sea of thieves is too crazy for one piece and it has completely different more that would not explain how a one piece collab could even happen.
