Doing them in peace in the Roar is a no-go, very high chance for a geyser to get it, all this work getting to grade 5 then having to do 3 more quests, for ONE KEG (with a chance for it to just blow up) feels bad, and honestly looks like an oversight, this can't be intended. FoF gives 2 I believe, tried a couple of times, one did solo, instantly got my stuff stolen the moment I loaded my ship, then got reminded why I hate attempting FoF solo, second tried with a group, one guy randomly decided to pistol one the moment the door opened. This is beyond frustrating.

You say DR is a No go, yet it better than the other ones you mentioned.
But the better one is of course, The Emissary Quest. G5 is not hard, heck you can almost do it in under 30min by doing a single voyage but not finishing it. Do it twice :P
1 is better than non. You can also randomly dig them up during normal athena voyage.Bottom line. If you dont focus on it, it happens better. Frustrating part of it all is doing 1 thing and only 1 thing, losing that 1 thing and getting upset.
@blazebeard2313 This is exactly what I am doing, and that's the frustrating part, unless I'm missing something. You do one set of rank 5 emissary, then you have to lower flag, level to 5, do another set of emissary quests... rinse repeat. It's frigging slow, one keg per time that you even have the chance of losing, is bad.
@fry9889 I read about that. Taking said piece of content away and not doing anything to make up for it is just.. sad. Anyway, sometimes I question their decisions about certain commendation requirements, it's like SoT is the only game out there, or they only cater to teensagers with unlimited free time.

I feel like I got a lot from Thieves Haven Runs back in the day. Shame they took those away as well.
This commendation has definitely become harder after the removal of thieves haven runs, but it shouldn't be an issue for completionists.
If you want athena completion, youll have to do 100 Vails anyway and those give you grade 5 every time.
I think theres a ton of other commendations that are way worse (like everything in merchants since season 11, or reaper loot commendations), but i get your point.
My take would still be that this commendation in particular, doesn't need a nerf.@blazebeard2313 I'm at 10 kegs right now, not sure if I can finish this grind, it's too repetitive. Roar is indeed the best, gotta wait out the geysers, just like everything else. If I had a dedicated group, FoF would be it, but I always play solo, so. I feel there's a void for this, they definitely should have made the kegs two at the end of the emissary quest, or have a dedicated voyage.
