Every faction in the game has some kind of curse... but not the merchant alliance? Surely, traders as well-travelled as them would have picked up a magical malady or two along the way! So, in that spirit, here are some curse ideas for you good people that I was able to whip up!
- Wood curse (basically just the gold curse, but wood instead of gold. Has relevance to all the wooden crates which the Merchants handle.)
- Shroud curse (like the Ghost curse, but the body becomes made of a semi-transparent foggy substance. Has relevance to the Merchant Alliance's origins outside of the Sea of Thieves.)
- Clockwork curse (cogs, numbers and clock-hands appear across the body. Has relevance to the Merchants' emphasis on timeliness and use of watches.)
- Map curse (basically just a body-sized tattoo of the Sea of Thieves map. Has relevance to the deliveries Merchants make across the Sea of Thieves.)
- Chimera curse (similar to the appearance of Davy Jones from Pirates of the Carribean: body parts would resemble the body parts of chickens, snakes and pigs. Has relevance to the deliveries of animals Merchants make.)
- Chickenfeet curse (if the player doesn't wear trousers or shoes, a pair of chicken legs and feet can be seen having replaced the player's legs and feet. Has relevance to the emphasis on chickens which the Merchants have.)
- Parchment curse (the player's body turns the color and texture of crumpled paper. Has relevance to the paper orders the Merchants are sent to fulfill).
What do you guys think?
