Beware when stealing the new reaper skulls, if the crew you steal it from bury it and you find it and dig it up again it will not count as stolen when you come to sell it. Wasted about an hour fighting the crew and finding the skull for it not to count. Still need to open a ticket for this haven't had time yet

Same with reaper chests. Got all I needed for the comm but didn’t give it to me because we dug them up and not the other crew.
@hiradc Are you sure? I'm pretty sure that burying an item basically despawns it and creates a brand new (unstolen) copy when you dig it back up.
It's done this for every item since burying was added.
@d3adst1ck yep we got our last stolen reaper chest after sinking a sweaty duo. I know because I logged off but my friend sailed all the way to wilds to find out what the dig was and invited me back in.
@hiradc Maybe digging up loot other players buried still counts as stolen, while burying stolen loot will remove the stolen state if you are the one burying and digging it back up.
Also they did say this is a bug in the Developer's update video today, I'm just hoping the skull of the banished will show up outside of the voyage because relaying on other players to do the voyage just to steal it is maddening
