this isnt the first time new "content" has been added for the sake of streamers being able to mess with the pve oriented crowd. but this is taking the reaper chest concept to a whole new insane level. for most of the pve stuff to steal its all about keeping your eye on the horizon finding ships doing stuff. now we have an insane amount of indicators both visual and straight up telling you where people are on the map to go do your tucking content or setup ambushes.... its a bit much. like the reaper flag giving you notice ok someones at this island doing a reaper voyage.... ok they started the voyage now the island is enveloped in fog HUGE indicator for anyone with eyes...... ok they are on the final step twister in the sky. ok now they have the loot, loot marker on the map. like come on.... in the very least the reaper mark shouldnt be present. give the player time to actually hit the other visual indicators that give it away. instead its like nah lets give people the 20 minutes they need to actually sail to the island. also the fact you can only sell at reapers cant hand in at outposts..... i get its a reaper voyage but i cant hand in emissary flags and ledgers at the skeleton at outposts. one of the foundational design points of sea of thieves was having the 6 out posts so no matter where you were questing you could easily get to the sell point.
but now we are going to have to do these voyages in the devils roar as well? (at least according to the commendations) thats a hell of a long trip to get back to reapers. not to mention if you arent going to fix the roar so geysers are random instead of aim botting the player making it extremely annoying to dig..... this will likely make our skeleton companions useless as they will constantly be getting owned by geysers alongside us. and if the eruption frequency isnt given a cool down so an island doesnt erupt again 2 minutes after its last eruption. and part of playing in the roar is higher value loot. from the commendations it doesnt seem like there are ashen variations so the higher risk for higher reward doesnt seem to apply #maketheroargreatagain
