Game bug: "Jump bug"

Over the years I have had the bug where you can't jump, it's like your character tries to jump however there is an invisible ceiling above your head. Happens every so often. I think ferry or interacting with a barrel or etc. fixes it.
That's the only time I've had anything like that.

@scdrl-thief I know what you are talking about and I have some insights for you:

I have a friend who is more serious about the PvP and TDM part of the game.
He always talked about how he had this issue, while I myself never encountered it at all.

until ... early this year I upgraded to 180 Hz display and tried 180, 144, 120 Hz (FreeSync enabled)
Suddenly I also get this issue and it really is annoying and makes you feel stuck.

I never had this issue while playing on 60 Hz with Vsync enabled.
And I have since returned to play Sea of Thieves with 60 Hz and Vsync enabled.

Devs have already talked about how the game is not optimized for high frame rates.
They said to stick to 120 Hz and I tried that. But it feels terrible sometimes.

Not sure if this is information is useful for you, but wanted to let you know about it.

I've had this bug for years.

Played with uncapped frames, 144 capped and 120 capped. Never used Vsync.

I haven't tried changing my monitors HZ from 180hz so im going to put it at 120hz and get back to you.

Add me to the 'affected by this bug' list. No unique or unusual input combinations, just suddenly the 'Jump' input results in what appears to be a double input, interrupting the jump.

I tried changing to 120HZ and it was better, but since my pc is horrible the fps drops were diabolical.
