Ghost Bones Colour

  • The "ghost"/"of the damned" effect is literally just a shader. It is a simple drag and drop to add it to a skin/model. We already have ghost bones as a glitch when the playermodel doesn't load. I'm not asking for the ghost effect to be applied to all the skeleton cosmetics, just have it as a bone colour. If you get to level 100 SotF and level 100 GoF you should be able to buy ghost bones to show off that you took the time do both. For a game about cosmetics that tell a story, they are leaving a lot of stories out by leaving such a simple cosmetic out.

I know this comment was quick but I’m active on the forums.

The ghost bones will never be a thing since both factions are fighting against each other.

A merge of ghost and skeleton will never happen unless they are called “Phantom Bones” since phantoms work for Flameheart.

  • Continuity means nothing in this game. Right now, I can go fight Skeleton Lord Briggsy while Phantom Briggsy is on my ship waffling about the Siren Song. I can do the HoF tall tale and take flamehearts skull to the CURRENTLY LIVING flameheart. I can go into the tavern of legends as a skeleton lord and still talk to all the NPC and buy stuff, there isn't even different dialogue options. I can get the blessing of athena WHILE WEARING the skeleton curse. If you wanna go by that logic, you shouldn't even be able to play for both sides. Once you pick one, you should be PERMANENTLY locked to it with no way to undo or switch. But you can, you can be a gold bones and gold ghost. So that argument means nothing.

  • I can take a picture of the Sword of Souls in THREE different places in its timeline AT THE SAME TIME. You get the one from the tall tale, then Flameheart always has it next to him, but then it's also on the burning blade. If you go to reapers hideout after taking the burning blade, you can take a screenshot with all 3 versions of the sword together.

  • Make sense of this @xdragonman15558

It's an open world sandbox PvPvE. Continuity isn’t the priority. The game’s built around freedom, replayability, and letting players do things their way. Yeah, you can be cursed and still work for Athena. You can run conflicting tall tales. That’s the whole point. Locking players into one path would kill the variety and fun.

  • @uluckyhitreg Yeah, which is why I'm saying that the continuity argument for ghost bones is meaningless. Look at the photo I posted. Blade of souls in 2 different spots in its timeline and Flamehearts skull next to the living Flameheart. The whole point of me bringing that up is to point out how little it matters. The fact that we can change sides at all should be enough for ghost bones to be a thing in this game. Again, for a game about telling your stories through cosmetics, you miss out on a lot of stories that can be told by someone willing to do the work for both sides. There could even be gold ghost bones for anyone who is level 1000 for both sides as well. Shows that you are willing to put in the work, not just once, but twice. Currently, there is no way to immediately show that you are level 100 (or even 1000) for both sides.
