It makes no sense as to why i can disable the unstable network connection indicator, I can disable milestone pop ups, I can MAKE SEA ROCKS LOUDER, but I cannot turn off subtitles. I want to take cool screenshots of things that are happening while NPCs are talking but the captions cover a huge portion of the screen and make screenshots worthless.
Remove subtitles
@hiradc Even if it does some people just find subtitles annoying and don't want to remove their ability to see their health bar and name tags and such for the sake of not having subtitles
@thathappyhat For a game with as many options for accessibility as it has, it's wild you can't turn off subtitles

I would like an option to turn off the Briggsy speech for the skull of siren song. I always accept it b/c i had to fight hard to get all the accommodations and its great PVP but man is it annoying.Or
Make it so the markers appare on everyones map, and any one can hand it in, instead of opting in.

Once the first chest/key is dug up the note on the mast reappears but as red.
@hiradc Right. That doesn't make the subtitles less annoying to anybody else though. I don't want subtitles because I don't want huge opaque text boxes taking up the bottom half of my screen
@hiradc Not always. Sometimes you wanna take really tightly timed screenshots, and sometimes you need some HUD elements, like the emote selection wheel visible for timing properly. Subtitles are the only UI element that has consistently gotten in the way of me taking screenshots, ever since I discovered you can turn off milestone popups.
