Feedback: Make Cursed Costumes Modular Like Standard Outfits

  • I’m really happy to see more costumes being released in separate parts instead of full sets. The ability to mix and match outfit pieces adds so much more customization, and it makes every pirate feel unique.

I think cursed costumes should be treated as their own category of parts too. Personally, I’m still hoping for a Lodestar curse—either as its own standalone look or maybe as a version of the Gold Curse with lodestar effects replacing the gold.

A great example of this kind of system is what Ubisoft did with Rainbow Six Siege—they unlocked the elite outfits and split them into individual parts, which allowed for so much more creative expression. Sea of Thieves could benefit from a similar approach.

Being able to mix and match both cursed and regular costume elements would build on Sea of Thieves’ character customization in such an elegant and meaningful way.

  • the point of costumes is that they AREN'T customizable, that way they can achieve things that aren't possible with normal clothes (like giving them specialized curses)
