Just a simple idea. The lure dart not only adds a treasure glow to things that don't typically have one BUT ALSO temporarily removes the glow on existing treasure items.
Use it on a Chest of Fortune to momentarily disguise it without having to bury it.
Or maybe a Cannon of Rage that you set up in position on Reapers Hideout as a trap so that enemies don't see it and aren't immediately aware of the trap you were trying to set.
The lure dart in my opinion is the weakest (or least used for me is probably a better way of putting it) of the current darts anyway so why not give it some kind of buff
