One map only stash on person . Unbalanced ?
Any chance of being able to stash maps on your person ?
Doesn't seem like there would be a point to do that?
It would also be an issue with multiplayer crews. Either every player would have to have a copy of that map stashed (and there would need to be a vote system to determine it), or only one player in the crew could do that which raises the problem of players hiding maps from other players in their own crew.
I would like to see this mechanic rebalanced somehow myself. Honestly there has only been one instance where I found map stashes useful and that was back when I was solo slooping Thieves Haven Run days years ago. I would bury the Athena trinkets on Thieves Haven, run back and forth from Snake Island or whichever one until Grade V and then sell it all. If someone started chasing me I would grab the map stash and hide it, that way I could sink, restart my emissary and still get those villainous Athena skulls that were so rare then.
So yeah I think stashing something on your person might be a bit too far, as it doesn’t give your attacker even a chance to get it, but you still have the opportunity to place it elsewhere. Or at least if it still works like that, it’s been so long since I used the mechanic.
Definitely feel some tweaking could be done to make some interesting strategies more viable with map stashes and burying loot but I don’t really have any idea what. I don’t see very much use for map stashes currently, anyone is free to correct me though.
