PVE only Servers!!

  • I feel like there needs to be more freedom in safer seas, not everyone likes PVP and there is enough content in the game to just play PVE.....All Rare needs to do is make harder enemies or spawn more skeleton ships in PVE so it makes it a challenge.... Cuz to me, no one wants to spend 4 hours getting loot only to get sunk by a bigger ship and then all that gameplay means nothing. (I usually just quit when this happens to me)...... stopping progression and removing part of the game in safer seas is dumb to me..... for me Id play this game alot more if it was PVE only........ but thats just me

  • It's a PvE/PvP game. You have safer seas, those servers are very generous after the changes.

Give High Seas a try, you don't need to gather loot for 4 hours and sell after, maybe sell after 30 min to avoid losing anything?

  • Yes i understand that the game is PVP/PVE..... I'm just saying I would enjoy the game more without the PVP aspect....I have tried Safer seas but its way more restrictive its not even worth it to me..... I just think Safer Seas should be the same rewards as High Seas but the PVE just harder... thats all im saying

  • This thread will be locked soon and for good reason.
This game is PvPvE at its core and PvE servers go against that.
Therefore there are restrictions on Saver Seas so the core gameplay stays intakt.

Im sorry to tell you, but if you dont like this then your not the target audience.

  • No thanks. Sea of Thieves is a PvPvE game - there cannot be one without the other. If you don't like PvP, you have safer seas, but Rare doesn't need to add further features to it.

  • @dermasterbob then so be it,, it's my feedback/suggestion. I know alot of people who don't play this game because it's PVP. Whether or not we are the target audience, I love this game but all im saying is make it so you can play PVE only without there being any restrictions or "penalties" because you want to play PVE..... They would have a new target audience for alot of people to enjoy. That's all im saying

  • @br00ker99 said in PVE only Servers!!:

Turn in more often, don't sail around with more loot that you care to lose.

Yea that would kill the main mode "High Seas", that why they don't do it.
This is why it will never happen.

  • @lem0n-curry I was exaggerating when I said 4 hours lol. But yes maybe I should give that a try. thanks!

  • @dermasterbob If it was their core to make it PVEPVP and if PVE only servers killed High Seas than that would say alot no? Im just saying there should be a choice, make that up to the players. I get what your saying though, but to me, i'd spend more money on this game if they had PVE only

  • The game design and intent for Sea of Thieves is a shared world adventure, and it always will be. Those who wish to play in the confines of Safer Seas will always have the option but we will not bring the rewards and activities in line with those of High Seas when many of the restrictions are in place due to the risk vs reward factor that is inherent in Sea of Thieves - removing any risk means rewards must be balanced accordingly.

Safer Seas will act not only as a safe space for our Tall Tale players but also for families with children who just want to pirate, for people who want to play the game but learn the ropes and it will organically feed into Adventure mode, keeping the player pool there healthy and upskilled as they've learned the mechanics.

This is not only useful for new players but also families and players with accessibility needs - the whole game suddenly becomes available in a way it hasn't before, letting them naturally progress to High Seas and become a Pirate Legend. SoT has grown a huge amount in 5 years and it can be fairly overwhelming.

The borders put in Safer Seas mean that to experience the full depth and breadth of the game you will have to hit the high seas BUT if you're playing with your family you don't have to, you can just enjoy the game and have fun as a family.
