Hi me and my brother both fell in love with the game. However we are deeply autistic and do not like pvp because it stresses us out way to much. Krakens and shark battles etc is not a problem. Now you guys force us into safer seas, a place where its just us. With now more money that we dont need. With no way to rank up our gold, skull or others past a certain level. We cant do special limited voyages in there either. So were forced to go into the normal seas.. every time we do we get completely obliterated by veterans who have played the game through and through, then we continue again.. do everything all over just for people to camp the selling places and steal it off from us anyways. We cant play under stress so as soon as they wip out a sword we are just dead. We cant fight back... so how are we supposed to have fun? We would love if there will be a safe mode, like in gta5. Where we cant be harmed, our ship cant be harmed. Our barrels cant be opened. Everything we ourself dug up, fished, killed. Cant be picked up by enemys. This way we can still play and level ourselves up. We can still come across people and wave hello in the hopes to find nice people to play with. With that said, as a downside put a huge nerf on the money we get from it or something so we can still level up with no gain otherwise? Just an idea. As of now everytime we want to play we just delete the game 15 minutes after cause were getting obliterated no matter what we do... and the response we get is.. its a pirate game...
Can there be a "passive" mode for normal seas.
The game design and intent for Sea of Thieves is a shared world adventure, and it always will be. Those who wish to play in the confines of Safer Seas will always have the option but we will not bring the rewards and activities in line with those of High Seas when many of the restrictions are in place due to the risk vs reward factor that is inherent in Sea of Thieves - removing any risk means rewards must be balanced accordingly.
Safer Seas will act not only as a safe space for our Tall Tale players but also for families with children who just want to pirate, for people who want to play the game but learn the ropes and it will organically feed into Adventure mode, keeping the player pool there healthy and upskilled as they've learned the mechanics.
This is not only useful for new players but also families and players with accessibility needs - the whole game suddenly becomes available in a way it hasn't before, letting them naturally progress to High Seas and become a Pirate Legend. SoT has grown a huge amount in 5 years and it can be fairly overwhelming.
The borders put in Safer Seas mean that to experience the full depth and breadth of the game you will have to hit the high seas BUT if you're playing with your family you don't have to, you can just enjoy the game and have fun as a family.
