Idea: TDM Servers

  • It would be awesome to have dedicated TDM servers with quick swap (QS), custom FOV settings, and no zoom. These servers would be made for TDM players who enjoy fast weapon switching, fast-paced combat, and more control over their view and aim.

This setup wouldn’t break the balance of the game because it would be completely separate from the standard matchmaking. It’s just an alternative mode for players who want a more intense and reactive experience without affecting the core gameplay for everyone else.

It could also become a great way for players to warm up, practice aim, and push their mechanical skills further

  • Study your history books. Arena was closed because only a small percentage of playerbase was using so not worth the dev resource to maintain a separate game mode. There is zero chance of them implementing a separate mode, all of those requests individually get a post instantly closed so good job on combining them all into one 😅

  • Kinda pointless to "warm up, practice aim and push their mechanical skills further", using things that aren't in the game LOL. Might as well have a private server dedicated to flying on dragons. Hey, they're not in the game either but let's add them too.

And need it own balanced system and upkeep which arena proved to be an issue.

Might as well make a mode then for all the script kidos who love flying with barrels and being invisible. Hey it would be made just for them, cuz they love it!

You see where I'm going with this.

  • @europa4033 I get where you’re coming from, but the idea isn’t to change the core game — just to offer an optional mode for players who enjoy a different, faster-paced experience. Quick swap and custom FOV wouldn’t be added to ranked or official modes, just something fun and skill-based on the side. Like how games have aim trainers or custom servers for warmups — it’s about giving players more ways to enjoy and improve, not replacing the base game.

  • The creation, updating and maintaining of an entirely separate mode for a niche portion of a minority of players is unlikely.

What you are asking for is an entirely different game, at which point you are better off looking for an entirely different game rather than trying to make an existing one into something completely different.
