This is such a cute and fun little voyage. I like that the recipe differs and can send you a few locations. Maybe it could be tinkered with for QoL and to make sure it has good variation if it does become permanent. The fish sold for a LOT so I would expect that to be balanced if it was brought into a permanent option.
I think it would be a great addition to the permanent voyage selection and could be combined with the other voyages to form a Medley voyage as well.
Rare hear us out, Merrick's Recipe has to stay! It makes the grind for all the fishes less tedious and boring. Keep the quest alive in the game, just reduce the bonus gold after the event. Fishing for 50 pieces of each specimen and variation feels like a huge acomplishment but you feel no progress on the way. Those quests are the thing we need - putting the mechanics and tools we already have in the game in a new, rewarding package. All in all, we still have to collect fishes and food, but not just in a way of "catch 50". We can actually complete the achievements during voyages like we do in Gold Hoarders - with captains chests for example.
Merrick's Recipe is perfect the way it is. Please, don't just abandon this idea after 10-days event concludes.
