The Stalwart Seadog Cutlass

It seems to have a "hitbox" to it when doing poses and things, which is rather odd. So I'm wondering if it's just me? Was this a one off thing? Obviously not intended as other swords don't have it.
(This does get a little shaky, but figured the showboater cutlass emote was a good way to show it off and you can see it push my camera close with the first pose.)

(While a normal cutlass doesn't. Picked the Stranger's Cutlass for demonstration.)
I also do not know if this applies to the other variants of the cutlass or if it's just that particular one.
