Strawberry beard ps5 error

  • For the last two days I have been trying to sign into play. I have re linked my account over 30 times for every time there to be a strawberry beard error code. I have searched through everything I possibly could online and have done every step you could multiple times with nothing working. It’s just frustrating owning a product and you can’t get ahold of anyone for help or even get your money back. The gaming industry is the only one I know where you can not speak to anyone for help.

  • This is exactly what is happening to me right now I’ve tried the same things as you. Support isn’t offering much help.

  • Go in to settings - saved data and delete all saved data you have for sea of theifs then when you log back in to the game u can sign in again. Hopefully this help you.

  • Even deleting local save and link again doesn't work.

  • Deleted local save multiple times, redownloaded the whole game, even tried a different account. Strawberrybeard error won’t go away.

  • For me it wasn't Strawberrybeard in the parenthesis, but still with the message "The Sea of Thieves Services are temporarily unavailable. Please try again.". I'm from pc and resetting the Windows Credentials didn't work for me, what it worked was changing the DNS of the WIFI IPv4 to a manual one instead of having it on automatic. [From what I read, you can change the DNS for the PS5 too, you can find different DNS adresses on the internet and try to do that, it might fix your problem]

  • Any fix for this yet? Currently having this pop up. Tried all the suggested fixes and changing dns but still nothing. My sister is in the game yet I can’t get in. On ps5 also.

  • Exactly the same issue.

    Spent a lot of time with Microsoft to try and fix the Xbox account problem ans still it's not fixed. They opened a trouble ticket, citing that this is a majot problem for many players. The bug is not on our side and since no matter the troubleshooting RARE send us it's totally useless and usually ends up with "Because of privacy concerns we can't do more for you" even though it's our accounts and that we have full access to them on on our computers AND that we can access their Sea of Thieves website and log in to access our account.

    I mean there is absolutely NO privacy issue there!

    So my conclusion actually after all the running around RARE and Microsoft put me through in the past weeks is that they have no clue whatsoever how to fix this problem and until somebody takes the time to do something about it our games will stay bricked and unplable.

    Really gives you something to think about next time you think about buying a Microsoft Studio Game.

    After Microsoft escalated my ticket to RARE technical support I received an e-mail that basically says: Yeah you are a lot of players having this issue. We have no fix. We'll update the tickets once it's fixed for everybody.

    Here's the text of the e-mail:

    To answer your concern about privacy issues, we can only assist and interact with an account that contacts us directly. Likewise, we cannot remotely do anything on a machine of anyone who contacts us.

  • I’ve been trying for 2 days and it’s starting to tick me off I’ve played the game before but I deleted so I redownloaded it just to do this I have no idea what to do any it’s so annoying as there are no tutorials on how to fix it

  • I just got the game yesterday and before I could even play 2 seconds of it, I received this error. No idea how to fix it, and I feel like I just burned my money on a game that doesn't even work

  • Got exactly the same. I wanted to play 2 weeks ago but it didn’t work. But i am kinda happy i finaly found a post with same problem. Now i am gonna check this everyday until there is a fix.

  • a friend of mine is trying to join me on the game on PS5 (im on PC) my game works just fine but for some reason they keep getting a strawberrybeard error and nothing they do works and come to fine out its a month long issue and the data deletion didnt work either

    we're both very frustrated as im sure are alot of other playstation people this is bull

  • Are nothing working ? Game develepors are not doing anything to fix? Been stuck a week in strawberry beard now whilst my friends playing.

  • I been showing the strawberry beard for a month now and this is really starting to get on my nerves . I believe as the customers we deserve some type of answer that you’re trying to fix this. I have been waiting to play this game.

  • Same has happened to me. Honestly, this is like stealing money and nobody cares. This is not a way to keep players playing games on your systems.

  • A lot of people having this issue, and they need to start refunding people's money if they are not going to fix this issue. I got friends who bought this game on ps5 and they literally cannot even play it. FIX YOUR GAME

  • I am on PS5 and was having this issue I was able to get it fixed though. What I had to do was go into Settings, Saved Data/App Settings, Sync Saved Data, Auto-Sync Saved Data, then turn on auto sync for sea of thieves which was turned off originally.

    This fix may have been only for myself as i recently switched from playing my dad’s PS5 to getting my own and playing that so my situation could be different from others. But I figured that since i was having a similar issue and was able to get it fixed i would let people here know. I hope everyone’s games get fixed soon though.

  • No @aizyifo it's not a PS+ issue.

    I have PS+ since it was frst introduced. All my PS5 games work perfectly online. It's just the games that require an XBox account that bugs like hell. It's funny to see XBox users crying because Sony asks an account to play Helldivers 2 on PC, ut at least our games work on other platforms compared to this joke of a system that steals our money for a product that won't work and they have no fix whatsoever for this.

    Right now it's a very very frustrating custoer experience. We are doing more troubleshoothing than they are. Ridiculous.

  • Yeah so I’ve been having the same problem for days now. When I first downloaded the game when they made it playable on ps5 I could play just fine I deleted it for a month or so to make space and now I try to play again and this happens. I’ve tried every single fix people have thought of so many times and nothing. They haven’t shown that they are trying to fix it or anything. Like even just a “hey we see that our game is not working as intended we are working on trying to fix it!” Instead we just get left in the dark. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. I don’t know how they had it when they originally made it playable on ps5 but could we make it like that again???
