Simple as the title. I think it's kind of ridiculous that Lazybeard exists at all while waiting to resurface from a dive to a raid or PVP. For a long time this really didn't matter as a concept as you would resurface within a couple minutes, but now I and my friends have been spending upwards of 10 to 20 minutes waiting to surface. There is absolutely nothing to do on the ship during this time, so most players are going to be tabbed out or have their attention elsewhere. I suggest either adding things to do while diving (low effort fishing, allowing the ability to cook, minigames, etc.), adjusting the Lazybeard timer to be longer during a dive, or removing it entirely.

@burnbacon Most to all other games with a queue don't require you to tab back in and click around while you wait to be matched. Please refer to the part where I said "There is absolutely nothing to do on the ship during this time, so most players are going to be tabbed out or have their attention elsewhere."

Preparation. If your with a crew, talk to them and make sure everyone got the job in mind what they need to focus on.
It really common sense if you think about it.. idk why everyone is being rude to a very simply process.- Load your cannons with first shot.
- Pack your pockets with required stock.
- If you have crates make sure they are placed and in correct order. Easy to grab
- If you forgot, set your weapons.
(often, not many of us wait longer than 2min) so to actually stand still..for 10+min and not even touch your keyboard? Seems to be a player issue.
Heck I shouldnt have to explain this to you. It very easy and many players do this already. It silly not to already know what to do during down time. Plus the game gives you the choice to "Leave" if a match doesnt start right away.
I gave a very easy answer, and everyone is not adding there own proper response, but hateful attacks. Very weird..and I get called a Troll :/
Sorry you kids can't add more thoughtful responses. :(@astralenigma said in Remove or Adjust Lazybeard During Dives to Raids/PVP:
I agree the time for the fort raids this event was about 20+ minutes and the inactivity timer seems to be 10 minutes, I was watching half of an episode on my second screen before the queue was over.
I think I had a queue go for over an hour before I just gave up. Skeleton Fort Raid voyages may as well not exist for this event.

The thing is, some players may already know what role they're doing, moreover, many already will have their correct weapons, cannons loaded, etc.
So what would they do after all of this (this takes at max 1 min to do) ?@Il-TruTh-lI Your posts have been removed as they go against the Forum Rules and Pirate Code.
ALWAYS:
Be courteous. Don’t insult players you don’t know. If humour is the intent, remember that this can be lost or misinterpreted online, and words can very easily offend. Be mindful of what you’re saying and if someone asks a question, see if you can help them out as you’d appreciate being helped out yourself if the roles were reversed.
Name calling, personal attacks and using derogatory language against Community Members, Rare Employees, Global Moderators or Deckhands is not acceptable. Using such language will result in a warning, then temporary ban from the Forums and a final warning. If the action is persistent or increasingly aggressive, a permanent ban from the Forums will be issued.
Please read and abide by the Forum Rules and Pirate Code in future.
Thank you.

So what would they do after all of this (this takes at max 1 min to do) ?If I'm waiting underwater for a match, I don't stand perfectly still for 10min waiting to rise up and face my opponent. I'll move around a bit, even if it's to strafe left and right quickly at the helm (similar to what you might do while waiting for the door to open in the Ferry). I do movements like this out of boredom, anxiousness, impatience, etc. It takes no time at all to perform movements like this, and the "afk clock" gets reset to boot. It's a much quicker and easier solution than asking the game developers to go back and re-write the code, go thru testing, etc. all because people are standing perfectly still for 10min.
The thing is, some players may already know what role they're doing
Some, not all. And do you ever discuss plans for when things go south? Someone dies, who takes over there position? Who is swapping places? Do you just let that job go to one player and only one?
We know how to drive a vehicle, but we all tend to make mistakes and we need to know, what should you do.moreover, many already will have their correct weapons
Not many it seems, Ive had people rush to join HG and forget, "Shoot! I was doing this last game and forgot I have grapple and blowdart equipped. Mistakes happen.
cannons loaded
are they aimed and ready to fire? Did you load the correct first shot? maybe you changed your mind...maybe that one guy forgot or someone else didnt do it.
So what would they do after all of this (this takes at max 1 min to do) ?
Game plan.
Who at the Helm, who managing stock, who keeping count of hits and planks used? Who gonna board, everyone board? What tactic we gonna play, what do you do when the mast falls....Game planning stages. But again, not many of us have this down time. So far, many actually find battles within 20seconds.
Again...I shouldnt have to explain these things...it common knowledge and Im sure your well informed already.
