The geyser spawns in the Roar are absolutely bogus and unfair. Every time I get to the Tier 5 Athena's quest to dig up the Black Powder, 9 out of the last 10, I get a single shovel dig and a geyser spawns UNDER THE KEG! Even after I've waited for the geysers to calm, the moment I start digging, they start spawning again, and explode the keg before I can dig it up. This is completely unfair to anyone trying to finish the keg sales challenge. Not only that, the geysers used to actually have a few moments of calm between eruptions, but now it seems that so long as you're on the island, it's just constant with no break. Rare absolutely needs to fix the problem of their eruption rate.
Geyser Spawns
Like I said, I've waited for the ground to stop shaking before I start digging, but I dig and suddenly a geyser. Also, geysers can still erupt even when the ground isn't shaking, and like I said, there used to be intervals between eruption cycles of the geysers, now they're almost constantly erupting while you're on the islands. I've literally watched a small island erupt only on the half where my crew mate was on, so the geysers are literally programmed to erupt under you and constantly.
@captdirtyoar There's challenging, and then there's impossibly unfair. If you wait until the ground stops shaking (which it rarely ever does for more than a few seconds), and start digging, which I have before, almost always it will immediately start shaking everything again and will spawn another geyser under the dig spot. When it happens to the point I can call it every time, that's not 'challenging', that's a ridiculously unfair coding in the mechanic. I wouldn't be making a complaint about this if it happened only once in a while, but in my current experience, it's about an 80-90% occurrence.

It's not like there is any benefit for the game to having these things randomly blowing up 3 seconds after finding them.
Just makes people like the roar even less.
Kegs should make boats go boom.
Aye, good lesson is not to dock your ship too close to a dig spot 😁.
@wolfmanbush Another good point, it's just making actually getting them much more difficult than it needs to be. The geysers spawn under the loot no matter what you dig up, chest, trinket, or keg. How many times have you done a Riddle in the roar and when you get to the last step, you know, the paces part, you do the step counting only to see a geyser spawn right where you need to dig? It's gotten to the point that I don't even need to count the paces anymore. I get to the spot and if there's a geyser in the direction I'd need to count paces, then that's probably where I have to dig, and like 90% of the time, it's right on point.
The geysers is a thing in the Roar, not arguing that. But having them spawn under the treasure every time you're trying to dig is completely unnecessarily unfair, particularly for kegs.
