we can sell ghostly storage crates, we can sell community day storage crates, we can sell storage crates we purchase from the mechant. we CANT sell storage crates we find on islands or get from skeleton ships. why not? also would be kinda nice if there was a hunters call box that could be sold and give you the value of everything inside similar to how we sell loot inside collectors chests, especially considering selling to the hunters call like we would prior to the NPC update (spam F) opens the shop. so you have to slow down and count out your buttons presses. yea thats only adding a few seconds to selling but so wasnt picking up 3 gems at a time to sell vs pressing F once to sell 3 and the devs loved that feature as much as we do
why can we sell purchased storage crates but not found ones?
I've been able to sell found ones before. Have had trouble selling bought ones (yes at a different outpost)
I sell the ones I can and keep one of the unsellables as my permanent one.
Yes it's buggy.

I ASSume it's a bug? Or an oversight? It's been that way since they made crates sellable.
Yeah it’s pretty much this and definitely has to be a bug. When you dig them up, if you pay close attention you’ll see it says “storage crate sold” instead of storage crate found or whatever it normally says when you dig treasure. So the game seems to think those have already been sold, I’m guessing, and won’t accept them anymore. That’s what my crew has reasoned as to why it’s only specific ones.
