The game is became unplayable at this point in time by old gen consoles, for example: compass direction aren’t loading, game crashes and throwing me out of the game, my equipment wheel don’t show etc. and it’s all fault of very high graphic settings we can’t access because it’s console, we don’t have privileges to do anything with our game and just play as it “supposed to be” even tho what’s the point of my game looking nice when i have literally 40fps because my console can’t run such high textures.
It became a problem a like 4seasons ago but now it’s unbearable. My suggestion is to just add such thing as performance mod to simply ditch out these high textures to increase performance by a lot because our consoles are more than capable to run this game in at least stable 60 in all parts of the game. It would finally gave consoles at least shadow of chance to have good pvp sessions and not worrying about randomly leaving the game because consoles overheat and need to cooldown so its closing the game. It would mean a lot :)
Performance option for consoles xbox one/ps4
Yes i did tried literally anything but the game has just too high textures so xbox generate stable 60 (more like 30-40fps) It’s just the game issue that forces to play it at the highest graphic settings, it would run so smoothly if we could just degrade thing or two in settings for example water or shadows. Idk i would love to play potato sot just because it would run at stable 60, great game flow , actually rendering textures(my pirate sometimes is not loading for an hour even, just like every other texture) and it wouldn’t kick me in middle of my game bc my xbox is literally going to melt so he needs to cooldown immediately(turn off the game)
And of course the pvp, it would give me just right amount of room to actually compete with others good players.Do you have game pass ultimate? If you do you could try uninstalling it and playing it via the cloud play option.
Honestly I don’t think they will do anything to help old consoles because their parent company wants you to buy the newest console. So allowing games to outgrow old gen is good for their business, in their minds maybe.
@abjectarity
Nah i don’t have it and i know they probably not going to do anything but still want to give it a shot, maybe they at least going to add something like option to reduce the least irrelevant graphic because i’ve met ppl on series x overall new gen consoles and still they have issues that include textures and stuff but they don’t care because at least they’re game is running in 120fps so it’s whatever to them, not to me tho.@therlysadman I think connection plays some role in it, but also what monitor or TV you are using. I play on a series X but on a 23” 1080p monitor instead of a TV. I don’t feel like I have any issues with graphics and think the game is quite pretty. But on my laptop I had to run it on cursed graphics because it was quite low end and struggled so much. I used to call islands “spiky blobs” because that’s how they always looked until you were close enough to step on them lol

It would mean a lot :)Strange as I fired up the game on my Day 1 Xbox One console a few weeks ago and it ran just fine. It felt a little clunkier than it does on my Series S with an occasional frame drop but other than that ran just as it is supposed to. Now I do have the game installed on an external SSD so there are improved load times and less black screening when using mermaids or the Ferry. If you are still running from the internal hard drive on the One, I cannot stress how advantageous it is to put the game on an external SSD or at very least a 7200RPM external hard drive. The game runs so much better this way.
I've never had my One overheat playing this game but it has pushed the Series S a bit, making the fans work overtime every now and again (but not as bad as Throne & Liberty - that game will overheat and shut my system down within 15-30 min after starting it so have had to stop playing it). But no problems on the one, other than a little slowdown due to a frame drop here and there.
So if you don't have it on an external SSD or 7200RPM, I highly recommend you get one and install it there. I'd bet that would solve the majority of your stated issues, if not your console may be on its last legs.
@dlchief58 Oh i see, so the SSD solves most of my problems, i’ll try it. Also i have a question how many fps You getting? I’m asking cus i swear it is impossible to have on non X xbox consoles to have more than 30.
@abjectarity Im not saying the game isn’t beautiful cus it is gorgeous, just saying i don’t care ab i would much rather play the game that look like some unpopular roblox game and playing without any lags or not loading textures i just want to have stable frames and not loading sometimes almost 5minutes from the Fairy, and ye i have my “spiky blobs” whenever my xbox is running sot more than 2hours xd
