Microsoft Rewards Should Be Able To Redeem Using Steam Version

  • I would love to see a feature that allows Microsoft Rewards packs for Sea of Thieves to be redeemed on Steam. Currently, players who earn rewards through Microsoft can only use them on the Microsoft Store or Xbox, leaving Steam players without an option. Since Sea of Thieves supports cross-progression, it would be great if Microsoft Rewards could offer a way to redeem content for the Steam version as well. This would make rewards more accessible and benefit a large part of the community who prefer playing on Steam

  • @gabrieliussa They are two separate stores with different rules and prices.

If you redeem a Microsoft Store item, you would need to launch the MS version at least once after you redeem and the items (except those which are platform-restricted) will be available to use on the Steam version. The applies in reverse for Steam redeems.

  • I dont have the microsoft or xbox version i have steam. And are there any other ways to get ancient coins?

  • This is kind of like asking why Store A doesn't accept Store B's gift cards. They are different stores.

You can get around this if you're able to open the Microsoft Store version of the game (using the purchased or gamepass version), but they're not going to allow you to redeem points on Steam. Sometimes you can get gamepass on a trial if that's still available, or use your points to get gamepass temporarily in order to activate the Ancient Coins.

  • Standard GP is currently 1$
