Yes whale hunting, make a dangerous monstro or sea beast that's hard to hunt like the megalodon, as well whales that are not hostile but can still be attack but if provoked can make your crew use a lot of planks so gotta team up.
Whale hunting and whales in general
Never understood why people want it here.
I don't get looking at something like a whale and wanting to take it out. Especially in a situation where it's clearly not needed for the environment that exists within the game.
A meg is a battle for the hunting ground, not the same situation as a whale.
The game itself is escapism and fantasy but it's built on a real ecosystem. One where whaling just doesn't make sense or pass the vibe check, imo.
Whales in general would be very cool, without the hunting.

These animals have suffered enough misery historically and in reality.
Sea of Thieves is a fantasy pirate setting.There are undead, megalodons and other things.
Whales are not dangerous animals and should not be portrayed as such.
Feel free to add more fantasy sea creatures like a sea serpent or whatever.But I find the whale hunt disgusting and also inappropriate for the more relaxed adventure mood.
