What about a guild messaging system? A board to make announcement. So people knows others people's navigation plans and schedule. Or even for the owner to communicate moderation actions, etc
Guild messaging system needed

I can’t really understand why there wouldn’t be. Xbox already has direct messaging and stuff would be nice to have that sort of thing in the game. Would also be nice if you could post buried treasure maps for your own guild mates to dig up.
Maybe make a Discord for your Guild?
Discord's voice channel quality is a lot better than Xbox console and gamebar etc in my opinion.
Guilds in general need some love. I for one think the 24 player limit is too little. I've ran across a good amount of awesome, guildless people, but I can't invite them because my guild is capped on members, and I don't want to kick out old members to add new ones. Increasing the member cap to even 50 would be a great change.

I don't know if that's the kind of love guilds needs, but for sure they need more love. Because if the intention is to create communities, it is very poorly designed because it is not really working. I mean... May be I've been in 5 to 10 guilds already. And the main problem is always the lack of communication. What kind of community driven tool is if we have to think on 3rd party software to talk between members? Of course we have alternatives like discords, and xbox things, and telegram channels, and whatsapp, and ps5 network, and... whatever. But every person has at least one problem with at least one of those platforms. So these platforms often creates more problems than solutions. Hence, the solution should come from the same game. Even statuses for players might help. Or invitation notes. I don't know. I could come out with a dozen ideas if I try.
@captthreepwood Yeah, it's just got a lot of untapped potential to be better. Sure, we can see our guild members all out sailing the seas through the menu, but there's no sense of closeness if we can't sail in similar servers. I do get that this idea would cause some issues, and there would be room for abuse, but at least having the ability to sail in 2-ship squads would be cool I think.
I still absolutely believe that the 24 player limit is not great, as you have to pick and choose who you want in, and that just to me, defeats the whole sense of fostering your own community.
In my opinion the guild needs a new season just to improve this feature, it's incredible that there is no real purpose other than sharing ships and earning 2 skins per season in the emissary registry.
I've already suggested a guild campaign mode like Kenway's Fleet in Assassin's Creed 4, or guild wars with objects to be completed in a certain time, some form of joint progression to accumulate gold and doubloons at the end of the month...
