Sovereigns giving less XP and gold for hunter's call?

  • As the title says, I know that currently sovereigns are giving less gold than selling at the main NPC... but does the same go for reputation?

I have the impression that yes, it seems that I leveled up much more selling directly to Hunter's call than to sovereigns but I didn't do any precise testing.

  • Idk about Rep but it been know, HC doesnt like selling to the Sover, but they do anyways. Just at half price.

Sell at the main branch for full profit, makes perfect sense.

  • BY fishing flotsam memory I know.
    There were posts on sea-posts
that did in-fact show; Incentive for
    Delivery direct to Hunter's Call.

    Gratuitously here an extra note.
    This incentive was introduced previously;
When sea-posts were offering new sights to see.
A bonus or offer for monstrous bounty
& the plenty variety fish of the sea.

    Xx.

  • In reality, sovereigns don't give less gold and reputation, but it's the NPCs at the seaposts that give 1.5x more.
In other words, selling to sovereigns is normal, selling to seaposts has a bonus value. And from memory, yes, it's about Gold and Reputation.

  • @zeyrniyx As far as I remember, when sovereigns were released they said that fish and meat would be worth less if sold there instead of at seaposts, but I don't remember if the same goes for reputation.

But today it seems that the level is actually rising faster by selling at HC NPCs

For me this is a mistake, it doesn't seem to have been intentional, in fact it seems that they just forgot that it was active... it no longer makes sense to limit the price of these items since they are a company like any other.

So yes, in reality the sovereigns give less than in Seapost, but if you're familiar with the game before season 7, you'll no doubt have noticed that the base price before season 7 is the same as that of the post-season 7 sovereigns.
If sales are more lucrative at seaposts, it's to encourage players to go there.
As far as reputation is concerned, I'm not sure, but logically and as I remember, there is this bonus at the seapost.
