Bounty’s and bounty board

  • Dear rare team,
I absolutely love your game and playing with friends but I have come up with an idea that you may find appealing! What if when pirates are reapers or just going after other pirates for fun, they find themselves collecting a bounty! I feel that a bounty board with all the pirates wrecking havoc would absolutely be a great installment to the game, it would give the players something new and exciting to do every time they log on to play. If they choose a bounty every ships playstyle is different! The more ships a pirate takes out the hire the bounty! Or if they are just stock piling loot they could get a bounty too! A bounty boated at every out post and maybe even a new faction to represent, “Bounty Hunters” where players earn unique rewards by completing bounty’s on npc pirates and players! Players could also post bounty’s as well on pirates (if they feel they must) at the bounty bored! You might be able to introduce this aspect of the game through a new tale! The idea could be of a new pirate crew stirring up some trouble in the land of sea of theives. A one piece collaboration could also go hand in hand with this new update (if you could get the rights). It could be a tale that intrudes one piece cosmetics! And you don’t need to worry about devil fruit add ons either! I feel players would just be happy if they could have their own going merry or thousand sunny cosmetics for their ship along with the straw hat crew outfits! You could do luffy, zoro, usopp, nami, and sanji just to name a few! Anyways, I hope that you acknowledge my request and I hope that hear from you soon!

  • @crunchy900 This has been requested many times, so let me give you the short answer: this goes against the gamerules and because it is considered harrassment, it's even bannable.

And we don't need more incentives to pick fights, since one of the most common complaints is that there are to many people going out to pick fights, even against ships that don't have any loot on board.

  • @crunchy900

Players could also post bounty’s as well on pirates (if they feel they must) at the bounty bored!

No. This makes the target an unwilling participant.
See a streamer you don't like? Boot up his stream & post a bounty on him. Once he removes it; Post another. And another. And another. And another...

There is already a bounty system: Emissaries. And the great thing about it is that players make THEMSELVES a bounty target by using it. It's 100% opt-in.

  • @guildar9194 that may be true . Streamers would make prime targets. But imagine how their audience would flip out if two gallions came at the streamer while their in the sloop and they take them both on while their gallions also fight each other or team up to take them down? How is it any different than two ships teaming up on a reaper ship when all they are trying to do is also build emissary as well. At least with bounty’s you wouldn’t be marked on the map as well

  • @super87ghost I understand it could be considered harassment but the whole fun of sea is to BE a pirate and look and feel cool while doing so. How cool would it make you feel if there was a 1,000,000 gold bounty on your head bc you were sinking ships. I understand that one of the many complaints is getting sunk even if you have no loot. But safer seas offers players a chance to do their adventuring without the worry of that even tho the loot isn’t as much. Think about if a new player was continuing to get sunk by a reaper ship. They could post a bounty and someone else with more experience could take them down. Pirates plunder, steal, pillage, sink ships, AND have bounty’s, if it was added they could not add the ability to post them. Have the game do it. It would be an opportunity to cut down on the unnecessary sinkage of new players and ships.

  • You see though, we already have a balanced and functional bounty system.

It's called emmisary. Raise a flag and get to menacing.

    No to the idea.
