Calling Card item

    Skello! Would anybody else be thinkin' that it could be fun to have a calling card that ye can leave after ye successfully steal some loot? Like ye be tuckin' and then go to grab their CoF or CoL and right before ye do ye can hit a button and it'd leave a customizable Callin' Card right before ye yoink and swim/row away?

    It'd have to be an item that ye can leave only one at a time (prevent spamming/server lag) for others to pick up and read lettin' them know that they've been swindled. Ye can obtain commendations for custom sayin' on the card and maybe even include a drop or scroll wheel option to include what piece of treasure ye be stealin'. Maybe not, may be too much with that. But I'd love to just hit a button and a little card falls to the deck as I grab their loot then the crew reads:

    "Ye be hit by, ye be struck by, a smooth criminal. Thank ye for the treasure"

    Nah. Sorry but some people would leave racist/evil comments.
    And a calling card found after the player has left would be much harder to report.

    Ngl it would be kinda toxic if I lost my entire stack and found a note there saying “Har Har! Gotcha! Better luck next time!”

    People already get really mad when someone steals their stuff, so rubbing salt on the wound ain’t gonna help.

    This is a great idea. Don't let the constantly negative naysayers keep you down. If I got a calling card, it would be awesome. Then I would know who to look for on the seas and it would be so much fun to hunt them down. Maybe the calling card disappears if the player leaves the server, so as long as I have it nearby, I know I can still hunt that person down. It would also just be cool to have Calling Cards from streamers. Maybe you can save up to 30 calling cards into your pirate logbook. On top of that, maybe calling cards have icons next to their name if they are officially handed out by Rare, that way we know it is actually SoT partners that stole from us. I think this would be a neat way to get more engagement from the community.

    @guildar9194 You can't type on the card. It just be preloaded and ye can unlock more by commendations.

    Default: "Your loot has been donated to a great cause -SkelCurseIRL"

    Unlock to get more and ye can customize which one ye want it to be sayin' but they all be built in game.

    Eh. It's a neat idea, but I just don't see it being worth the time.
    People already know their loot was stolen; A calling card left behind would just be salt on the wound.

    Plus, larger guilds with toxic players could use that to target people. 'SklCurseIRL stole my treasure! If you find them; Sink them! Scream into the mic! Blast loud music!'
    And then people would stop using it, as it paints a bullseye on their back.

    It's a creative idea, but I just don't see it as worth Rare's time and money to add.

    Good point! I know that I would love receivin' a card if I not be payin' attention is all and would love to swindle others with it also xD

    Interesting idea. One of the most frustrating things sometimes is not knowing what happened to certain items. I'd maybe want it linked to the sale though as people could leave a card after having taken an item and not even end up cashing in
