Purchase/Activate Previous Battle Passes.

  • Good evening,

I have played sea of thieves for many years, this including being an insider and upon release. I have been constantly coming back, leaving, then returning due to multiple reasons. Sometimes even having to leave due to health issues at certain points. One thing that I love to see when logging in is the new battle pass that has come into the shop. Though this is also a double-edged sword, especially when only being able to play as little as I can. I often rarely get to complete a battle pass due to multiple reasons and often larger value quests take quite some time to achieve. Sometimes the amount of time I do not physically have. One task I wish you would REALLY look into is the idea of making past battle passes available in the pirate emporium or being able to activate previous battle passes once you complete the currently established one. This would allow for more income into the game from purchasing of previous battle passes (a positive financial item for people to sink their money/time into), plus allow more retention for players who may have missed or wanted a battle pass that has passed. This would also help at keeping more players on the Seas during the slower portions of the time when updates are not coming out with content as frequently. Following this path would also allow the team to feel less stressed to produce more cosmetic content due to previous passes now being available and giving them some time to come up with more unique content or allocating them to other assignments/ areas lacking in the department.

Upon watching the shop over time, especially recently I have noticed quite an increase in just recoloring of the same skins and selling them at the same price. Once again, if the ideas are not there and the team is stressed or lacking. Let the past battle passes give you the break you need to focus on BUG FIXES that are needed and possibly upgrading the system to better software to not have to, "Take some out here in order to make up for what we are creating." I am paraphrasing this, but this type of statement was in one of your more recent videos/blogs you posted. That is not a fixing the ship mentality but more of a, slapping a board across a hole because it stops the leak mentality. See where I am going with this? It brings in more money for the studio AND brings in more rewards for people to sink their time into achieving. It's a win for EVERYBODY due to less stress on the team, more content for players AND more time for you all to focus on fixing issues/ cheaters.
