Mimic Dart MILESTONE

  • The milestone of 'Enemies Mimiced' is at 20 per level, for the 30 levels for the trinket thats 600 unique pirates as mimicing the same pirate does not count. This seems extreme compared to other recently introduced milestones. Ideally it would be 1 per level but even 5 would be reasonable.

  • Yes, there are not many opportunities to use this type of dart in battle,
It takes 600 to reach milestone level 30.
It means I have to encounter 600 pirates in the game and have the opportunity to shoot darts at them,
I estimated that I only encounter about 20 pirates every day. Unless I crazily participate in PVP.
If you don't have a lot of time to play games every day, it may even take 2-3 years

Not all enemies are pirates ...

  • Phantoms don't work in my experience. I tested island phantoms but not sea fort phantoms.

Skellies and skelly captains work fine, I'd assume skelly boat skellies would work too.

I tried snakes because I thought it would be funny, but those don't work. I dunno about the ocean crawler stuff, I didn't see any of those.

I'm 'bout to mimic dart a meg.

    Try a Kraken next 😉

    From the patchnotes

The Mimic Dart has been added as a new dart type for the blowpipe. This dart lets players temporarily transform their appearance into that of other players or skeletons, allowing them to blend in and cause even more mischief!

My plan for the kraken is to wait till I get kraken'd and skelly ship'd and then mimic dart the skelly and see how the kraken reacts. Goosebumps meets national geographic

  • @v7z12 This kind of grinding doesn't bothers me. It's just one more reason to play the game and measure your progress.

If you keep playing you will get there eventually.

Please let us know the results :).

the point is that i know how long it WILL take and its an unreasonable amount of time

  • NEVERMIND, i grinded it. PLEASE DONT CHANGE IT NOW

  • I've done it too and it's perfectly balanced! Everyone that is struggling with such easy task just needs to sail the sea more.

  • @metal-ravage
I don't mind the grind, there's grinding which seems reachable, which is why people like to grind/tolerate it, then there's grinding for an accommodation which is just unreasonable.
This commendation may lean to the latter but I'm not yet convinced.

    I have a question for the OP/Others.

    1. Ok skeletons are enemies, so I'm guessing you could just farm that commendation much faster via world events. ?

    2. Unique players, what if someone Disconnects and reconnects, does the game take that into account. I'm questioning if they went so far to the point to track everyones profile where you meet the same pirate/player twice a month later after mimicking him previously, does the mimick dart take that fact into account?

Either way it's just a grindy commendation to force players to continue playing, anything at that point. Doesn't seem like a hassle when you get 100 mimicks in a few hours via world event skeletons..

I'm not sure it's actually unique players. It could be that OP shot 4 mimic darts in quick succession into the same pirate and saw it only counted as one.

Also, the numbers within milestones don't always update immediately (they do when you reach a new milestone, but not when you go from 1 to 2 or 7 to 8 &c (if the milestones has more than 1 per milestone).
