Hey everyone, I'm really upset about how hourglass has turned out. I either decimate entire crews, or i get decimated. From my experiences, there is no balanced matchmaking. My friends (who are an average level 175 on both servants and guardians) complain about how unbalanced the matchmaking is as well.
What I suggest is that Sea of Thieves removes the hourglass option and completely revamp it to make it easier for new players to grind the levels and for devoted players to face each other to become top dog. This new hourglass will feature a matchmaking scheme where it will use your win/loss percentage with the streak you are on as a way to decide what opponent you should get. This way, not only are the fights well balanced, but also promotes tremendous growth on your combat skills more effectively than the system hourglass has now.
With the win/loss rate calculated on your player, there should also be a leaderboard, as well as rewards based on how well you did on the leaderboards once a season is over. This is where we can use the Sea Dogs Tavern. The Sea Dogs Tavern could house the leaderboards, the previews of the rewards you are able to get, and the progress you are making on your servants and guardians factions.
This is just an idea I'm throwing out there, as I am tired and exhausted from having to grind the levels slowly while being demolished by the poor matchmaking. If there's anyone with other ideas and concepts that could make this one better, then that would be much appreciated.
Sincerely
Captain GrogSwag
