the Orb of Secrets and Chest of Legends

I do think it’s weird you cant sell the orb to Athena when it literally plays the Athena song when you stop the ritual and it makes tons of sense lore wise to sell it to Athena.

But I think the value is actually ok because the point of the orb costing 20k is that it’s the one single loot item you get from the activity. Similar activities give similar payout through multiple loot item pieces, but those items have slightly less risk in transporting multiple items because they either have a mermaid you store them in or are on a compact sea fort where you can see the horizon extremely quickly. The skeleton camps put you at risk like a sunken kingdom but don’t have the loot securing mermaid that allows you to check your horizon and boat for tuckers before releasing the loot items.

As a result I don’t think the chest of legends needs a huge buff, but I do think it could do with a small buff. It currently sells from 8000-11000 and I think it could sell for 10000-13000 with the ashen version selling for 15000-18000

I've always found the fact that you can't sell the Orb of Secrets to Athena's fortune VERY weird since, according to the lore it's LITERALLY THEIR LOOT and that (along with the ancient knowledge within it) is why Flameheart wants it so much. Like.. The pirate lord himself even says that we have to go out there and stop Flameheart from getting the orbs. Why in the world would he not want us to take the next step of giving them to him for safekeeping? Really? I mean.. I know the Reapers have been the golden child of SoT this past season (and debatedly ever since they first showed up), but this is just kinda nonsensical here. It just kinda seems like an arbitrary restriction to prevent people from using this new event to progress Athena's (which is already pigeonholed into a very small set of activities in order to make any real progress).

and you have to be PL and have Athena emissary flag up to be able to sell. :p

Firstly, nowhere did the OP state that you wouldn't still be able to sell it to the other factions.

Secondly, just like with a Chest of Legends or any Athena loot, you don't need to be a PL to actually sell to Athena at base value. You only need to be PL to start Athena voyages or get the Athena Emissary licence.

you are right about that, i didn't say that you can just sell it to other factions such as Gold Hoarders or Order Of Souls. I'm saying, that something that the pirate lord would most likely want to keep as far away from the servant of the flame and/or flame heart with it being information about the ancients, it would make a lot of sense to be able to give it to Athena's fortune over anything else.
