I would much rather reload cannons using my reload key, not my secondary interact key.

  • Title.
    Keys like reload I map to convenient, "use quick and easy in combat" buttons.
    Keys for less urgent functions I'd mostly only use out of combat, like secondary interaction, I map to buttons that would be more annoying to need in combat, to free up the better buttons for more important functions.
    Like "reload". For reloading cannons as well as guns, I would hope.

  • Needing a button to reload only applies to the double-barrelled pistol, though, and the button for doing that is secondary interact, isn’t it?

    Every other gun, if you have ammo available you automatically go into the reloading animation if you have the gun out but don’t have a shot ready.

  • Honestly, what is really annoying isn't the reload button but the fact that the weapon switching and secondary interaction are tied in the controllers and there is no untying.
    So if you decide to change your weapon near a storage crate "Oh look a new menu blocking my view" and then you die.
