What am I doing wrong.

It works, I am 10/15 to Grade 4.

Its just super tricky and time consuming.

You need to Spam Lure the ground a few times so you can separate the captains and stuff.
Then hit one of the captain's around 13 Times with a sword (single hits, not combo) and have the smaller skeletons do the final hits after with the Lure applied.

It's not worth doing it on Gold Captains, they take too long to kill from the skellies.

@eastthread51441 You could actually just kill all the sword skellies so you don't have to re-apply the lure so often. They take 3 Sword Swings to destroy each Lure. And Pistol Skellies seem to struggle to directly hit the Lures.

As I say, u don't need to worry about PvE Damage. Just hit each captain 12 times with a sword.

And then complained about that very thing I gave a tip on how to fix by saying "But the most annoying part is how long it takes for a captain to be killed by skeletons. Ridiculous honestly."

All they need to do is give the last hit. So do yourself a favour and speed it up by weakening the captains.
