I am sick of meeting cheaters with insta gun swapping. If I try to swap weapons fast, second weapo very often just does not shoot, which if unacceptable when you are defending your ship.
Cheaters, on the other hand, do not care at all - they shoot, instantly swap and shoot again, leaving no chances to eat/hide.
Come on, you you have to either validate weapon swap speed on server, or just return it back for all players. Because currently all you did is broke quick swap for non-cheaters.
It seems people find ways to swap faster even with the attempts to prevent it. The double barrel pistol and throwing knife currently swap faster than the OG quickswap and is game breaking. You can shoot and almost instantaneously stab with the knife. With the blunderbuss, if you time it right and cancel the reload you can swap to eye of reach almost as fast as the old quickswap.
Not sure about any quickswapping cheats but i'm sure they exist but I can't confirm that and assume people are using a method to bypass the mechanic as usual
Cheaters are the exception, not the rule. If some one is pulling something off with a cheat that they should not be able to do does not mean that it was not removed, nor does it mean quick swap should be returned, it only means that cheaters are just that, cheaters. Report them, and let rare deal with it as best they can.

There are some cheats that bypass it, though most is just having a macro that has everything timed perfectly to be able to pull it off since its extremely hard to do now. But it depends entirely on the person if they deem macros as cheats or not, personally i see it in this case as a cheat since its doing something you cant otherwise do, but auto fire on cannons i dont see as a cheat when i see that since its just a lazy attempt to do something you can do still.
