Steam Deck Crossplay

    Ahoy pirates.

    Recently I've bought a Steam Deck, so I can enjoy some games while I'm travelling or away from home.

    I' ve installed SoT for obvious reasons and I want to give some feedback regarding crossplay.

    The game runs on a small screen compared to a PC or a TV screen and most of the time you play it with the SteamDeck controller. I would like to suggest that Steam Deck could have the ability to crossplay with console players, to make things a little bit easier if there is some pvp on the session. Therefore, it should be some way to have input only crossplay, so you can match against controller players if you are using a controller.

    @capt-pilotes it's should have been controller vs kb/m. Instead it's pc vs console AND controller. You are on a pc.

    I don't know how the steam deck works, but if it lets you play over your steam account, it might be impossible to tell if you are on the steam deck or on PC.
    This might be abused to get onto console servers with a PC and therefore with Cheats.
    Even if the PC player could then only play with controller, the risk would be to high in my opinion.
    Console lobbys should stay 3rd party software free.

    So you technically want to play on Pc in a Xbox lobby :/ because it be easier....

    I'm not saying easier, but fair in terms of gameplay experience. The game works fine, but would be great to have the possibility of matching with people playing on the same terms (controller only servers).

    @capt-pilotes the servers are already essentially just suggestions. The ammount of pc players I run into on "console prefered" servers as soon as I dive are a joke.
