Burning Blade Griefing w/ New Nerf

  • I'm fine with this in theory, however we were on the BB last night, and kept getting attacked over and over and over by the same 4 crews.

I hope they balance this by one of two methods:

    1. Limited ship server lives. You can have 3 ship lives on a server, once gone you are force switched.

    2. Spawn from the farthest outpost or island when sunk so they can't just keep throwing themselves waiting to get lucky.

  • There's many of us that think a ship should be merged off a server if they sink twice to the same ship, a sort of best of three.

For me, I think any block on completing the Burning Blade at the hideout should only apply if:

    1. The opposing ship(s) are Athena flagged. This way if they are to sink they can't return directly without pausing at an outpost to raise a new Athena.
    2. If not the above, then opposing ship(s) have to be enrolled into Guardian's hourglass. A Guardian ship has the benefit of blocking the turn-in, but the finale effectively becomes a last ship standing.

I also think Flameheart shouldn't accept the return of a Burning Blade with zero rituals.... and maybe sinking ships on the Burning Blade adds to the ritual count.

  • @husayra I've always said, 3 sinks in an hour

  • With the idea of forced server transfers, i am for the idea if its not just 3 total per server, but say 3 sinks against the same ship over a set period of time, like an hour. When it comes down to spawn distance, theres some issues with that for sure, especially with the briggsy skull quest up.

  • kept getting attacked over and over and over by the same 4 crews.

Your on a World Event...Player Controlled....what do you expect to happen? There is a define reason to Sink a BB

As for sinking 3 times, forced switch.
Fine: Make sure to sink the same ship who refuses to fight back and force them out of the server. Perfect.
