Today I claimed the xbox game pass promotion.
On Xbox I can use everything; no problem, but PlayStation has access to everything except the sword, the only thing I use from it tbh.🤣🤣🤣
I hope this is fixed soon as I mainly play on PlayStation.
Ebon Rapier Sword Not Available On PlayStation.
@dawnnboii It may be that it is an Xbox/PC exclusive due to it being claimed from an Xbox Game Pass promotion.
In which case, it would be unavailable if/when you play on PlayStation.

Cheers for the info mate. 👍🏼It was disappointing to see the Ruby Viper set as a PS5 exclusive, and it's disappointing to see the Ebon Rapier follow the same path for Xbox. I wish Rare would quit arbitrarily splitting the community in small ways like this.
Along the same line of thinking, PS5 players shouldn't have the option to use PS only servers. Give them the same console with controller option as Xbox players and have everyone play together in the same pool.

Doubtful this is up to Rare at all. We only started getting restrictions like this when Sony became part of the ecosystem and they are notoriously difficult and protective when it comes to crossplay.

THIS 100%. common sense... For any of your PS5 people, does Sony / PS have any type of claimable rewards/cosmetics/drops/perks, etc. for subscribing to it's online gaming service (whatever it's called... I'm team green so I have no idea)
@grantsby They do perks for several games, like Game Pass Ultimate has. But nothing so far for Sea of Thieves.
I'm in the same situation, I play on both Xbox and PS5 and got the Eboy Rapier on Xbox but can't equip it on PS5. However, I can equip the other 2 perks, the obsidian figurehead and pocket watch (maybe because I already owned them from Twitch drops before?).
I just feel this should have been announced and not caught people by surprise.

Gotcha, thanks for the info, even though it doesn't directly impact me.
The Rapier is brand new, so maybe it will eventually make it's way to a PS5 Perk. The Obsidian set is sacred to all players, so I can't see them keeping it a Gamepass Ultimate Exclusive.
But I hear you on the lack of communication... but the entire playerbase is used to that part of Rare's "culture"
Same thing happened when thousands of current-platform users pre-ordered the PS5 version to get the Ruby Viper weapons set - and only WAY AFTER - like the week of (or before) the pre-order early access trial - did they come out and say, "Oh, hey by the way these weapons are exclusive to Ps5, so you have to play ON that device to be able to use them... enjoy the punch to the gut... muaah haa haa!!!"
Like - woulda been nice to know that BEFORE forking over another $60 for the preorder
