Return the orb to flameheart statue on the boat to complete the ritual sorta like the concept of a veil stone. That way it's only one at a time. I think it's the easiest fix and will stop the current issue.
BEST FIX FOR Burning Blade Exploit
They have a much bigger issue which is a very very significant amount of players removing their own benefit of the doubt and openly cheating for mass reward. Reward so significant that it will alter activity for years to come (if people keep the gold). That much gold from cheating alters activity away from participating in events and risk which directly negatively impacts the organic experience.
Removing that reward in one way or another is absolutely necessary if this is a fair play game with risk/reward.
This is not cheating in the past where it's a lot of sus accusations and ego stuff over pvp encounters. This is marked cheating, this is mass cheating. There is no benefit of the doubt with those doing it or defending it. These extreme exploits show that SoT does have a cheating problem, just not how it's often talked about in feedback areas.
They will fix the exploits, gotta get people on the same page that extreme pve cheating is just as bad if not worse than pvp cheating. It's certainly far more widespread on the pve side. Can't prove it in pvp nearly as easily as it can be proven in pve.
@wolfmanbush
Agree from the mass amounts of gold to insane leveling. It definitely tipped the scalesWith as extreme as it is getting, I think they should shut the event down until they find a fix. Sure it takes away the whole premise of the season, but isn't that better then completely wrecking the economy? Now this is with a bit of sarcasm, but those who haven't used the exploit should be rewarded with for instance a ship set with the old DW sail cut. Again, not a serious suggestion, but something useful or attractive that the exploiters will never be able to buy with their piles of gold. Or reset their accounts to what they were on the last day of season twelve including commendations and renown.
The fix is simple, don't allow the event to stack. Each camp is worth Max 1 completion. RARE having zero communication on this issue has opened up the exploit to the masses, rather than just a select few who figured something out. It is so wide spread, I never see an occupied Blade that isn't exploiting. Every LFG group is focused on the exploit as well. They can't 'ban' on this it would impact too much of the player base that would have normally 'played properly' - but when it's that accessible, this is on Rare. They should have pulled the updated until a patch was implemented. Now all they could do is Roll Back, but that impacts everyone. They messed up and it's on them to fix the issue without 'blaming' players.
From SoT Support on Twitter/X:
A fix has been rolled out to tackle exploits that were being used to complete excessive numbers of Rituals while in control of the Burning Blade. We will be following up by addressing proven instances of these exploits being used to vastly accelerate progress and gold earned.
I expect we'll see the announcement on the forums very soon in Game Announcements and Troubleshooting.
I wonder if you spend gold on items it's gold spent? I know it's a technical nightmare to refund items bought, so I have no idea how it's going to be implimented.

Would be hilarious if they went into debt
