Ban them. they know what they are doing, they know that its not supposed to be played this way. all these years of playing these game. ACTUALLY playing this game grinding up gold/XP the legit way, if they don't ban or atleast penalise these exploiters none of it is worth anything. don't be stupid and tell me ohh ItS pArt Of The GAME tECHniCAlly NoT cheating... it IS cheating PERIOD. the game is litteraly not worth playing anymore if stuff like this is allowed.... just a few more nails in the coffin rare and you can kiss your game bye bye
Ban Burning blade exploiters
My only issue I have with these cheaters if they go unpunished is they will have all their stats maxed out and will likely go on to be poor PVP opponents no longer worried about their PVE leveling. And over complicate all of us honest players trying to balance our PVE/PVP play time.
Something of this magnitude should have been shut down within hours of it going viral.
Even with a server shut down to sort it so what, we are use to that with Microsoft anyway!Unless they remove the gold and the commendation credit it's just a vacation for mass wealth.
That means rollbacks or permanent bans otherwise it's generally pointless. Maybe a few of the extreme accounts get perma'd but who knows. The amounts need to be removed out of the game, preferably rolling it back if possible and marks on accounts as opposed to bans on people without a history of causing issues.
I do think this could be a time like season 7 where many long time organic-style experienced players move on (probably not many left). Even the forums have regs popping in once in a while they say they haven't played for months at a time/entire seasons.
The game will continue to be successful as a product but the organic experience is really struggling through these mass exploit seasons. Not a whole lotta reasons to participate in content when this sort of thing is going on regularly.
I've played more than just about anyone has in the organic play style and people have made more in a couple of days than I did in years of grinding the game lol. Amounts are whatever but how people got their amounts definitely matters.
I think people should give Rare a chance to address this but I understand if people are just kinda done with it. It's season after season of frustrations as far as this extreme stuff goes.
"The game has no economy" "Gold doesn't matter" as people spend every season cheesing it to specifically get attention for it, lol.
It's interesting to me how people make their entire social presence online about sot and then tell people that gold doesn't matter in the game. Stuff matters to people, that's why everyone is here. That's why y'all chase giveaway cosmetics and status too. Significance to people is a big part of what keeps things going. That includes gold/stats.
I don't think some of y'all would like it if people duped those cosmetics/titles you jumped through hoops for.
