The behaviour of skeleton ships should be changed for solo

  • Ahoy!
The behaviour of skeleton ships should be changed for solo. If I am alone on a ship I should have a chance of defeating a galleon of bots. But the galleon can just spam the anchor cannonballs, smash you two sides of the ship and there is no way you can fix this situation. Galleon bot behaviour needs to be changed.

  • They kind of already been changed to, Crew size or ship size. I forget which.
As well, if its a World Event, it needs to be a challenge but it also still fair fight. Before in Fleet, Two galleons use to always spawn, now it just 1 and sometimes a sloop skeleton ship. ( at least the 5 times ive done the fleet as a solo)

  • Season 11 was a strong example of what SoT looks like when over nerfed. Megs weren't attacking and Skelly ships were sinking fast. It's not interesting because it doesn't interfere with outcome.

The entire point of having emergent spawns is to have risk, to shake up the monotony of sailing around/pvp, and to alter outcome randomly.

Season 11 wasn't more fun it was just cheesy and people enjoy the benefits of cheesy but that doesn't mean it's good for a game that is built on risk/reward and random adventure.

People are supposed to sink sometimes, the game is no longer harsh on the underdog like it once was, the safer the seas get the less interesting the sessions are. Less interesting means people can easily just move on to more exciting games. We all benefit by people wanting to stay here and play more because it's exciting.

A galleon should carry more risk in attacking them than a skloop.

If all goes well, on a sloop you should only encounter emerging skloops and no emerging skalleons. If you go into the skeleton fleet or sail and attack a roaming skalleon, that's on you and you better be prepared for some extra shots coming your way.

If you're solo on another ship than a sloop - well, that's also on you. The sloop is clearly the intended vessel for solo players and while there are players who like to have the speed and/or challenge of a laregr vessel, they should also take into account the extra risk of getting attacked by a skalleon.

Fighting a skalleon on a sloop as a solo is possible, though you should bring enough planks and don't let them demast you while in shot of a seafort or active fort ...

Totally agree. Too many things in the game are way easier than when they first arrived. Legend of the Veil has become far too easy too.

  • @ixxxoloff firebombs and scattershot are a galleons best friend, use them.

  • Did it change for brig crews and galkeons? i think not?

i sunk 500 skellyships through raids before they nerved did a lot fof, fotd and veils im thankfull they changed cause it just took to long ,it wasnt fair for solo players so when it comes to pvp and i lose its not so frustrating than before, fast pacing pve was a good decision.

  • It did change. They fire less frequently when there is 1 Player nearby vs 2, and will fire more frequently the more players are around.

Doing the Fleet as a sloop has become way easier than It was when the fleet first came out (There was no scaling whatsoever)... and before they added Skeleton Sloops, Skeleton Galleons could spawn onto Sloops... it was horrible.
