Free Theb!!!

  • Theb's youtube has been unfairly banned for copyright infringement. If he is somehow infringing then literally every single sot youtuber is(they aren't). Why on earth does Rare have such a vendetta against this humble man?

I’m confused, was he banned via Rare, if so, what for? Based on your post it sounds like he was banned from YouTube for copyright infringement, which has nothing to do with Rare or this forum :)

    1. That sounds like a youtube issue. Rare can neither ban, nor unban, youtube accounts.
    2. If their account was banned; This is not their first strike. it takes 3 copyright strikes to get your entire channel removed.
    3. If Rare flagged them; Then this person was showing something they should not. POssible from the Insider program?

Rallying for some complete stranger here about youtube there won't do anything.

Rare copyright struck his channel into the ground. Rare can decide to stop messing with people who make youtube videos about their game. I've seen his videos and he doesnt show insider content, how can you be so sure that he is "showing something that he should not"?

  • @lackbarwastaken ban evasion is against tos and making an entire (ex) YouTube/twitch career out of evading that ban has consequences. Womp womp.

  • Under the EULA of any game the publisher is able to enforce their ownership of an IP at any time, if they choose. Streaming and let's plays are a privilege, not a right. Twitch only exists due to the mercy of publishers, not because streaming is legal.

This person was redbearded for a reason (which they admitted to), created alts to get around it, and continues to wage war on the devs by trying to garner pity, it's not going to do them any favours in getting anything overturned.

    How can I be sure?
Because Rare would not randomly copyright strike someone for no reason.
Again; It takes three active strikes, as per youtube's own rules. So it's not like someone at Rare woke up and clicked a 'Delete this channel' button.

Wait, so the dude was banned, and ban dodged, and now OP is claiming that person (Or maybe they ARE that person?) did nothing wrong?

Youtube (and twitch) tend to take a dim view of people posting EULA breaking, hacking, or other things.
Could be that youtube just got wind of his chicanery and removed him.
Either way; 'Humble men' don't get banned from games. Nor do they make videos of ban evading.

No, Rare likely put in the strikes (the strikes will be DMCAs from Rare). But they are well within their legal right to do so. And, given the history of the individual and continuation to flaunt rules (such as around Twitch Drops), I can see why they made the decision.

And the army he has amassed to try and put pressure on Rare on social media is not going to anything only make things a lot worse for this person and the folks around them. If they continue with the harassment, I only see legal action in the future.
