Text Chat Not Working

    I noticed since the June 20, 2024 update, I'm unable to use text chat anymore when I play Sea of Thieves on Xbox. I decided to see if it could be an issue with the controller and it apparently isn't as I assigned other buttons to Text Chat to no avail. Was wondering if this is the result of some policy change or is this an issue that would be resolved soon?

    Something is different because I notice I can only use Text Chat when my pirate is performing an emote now. Was never like this until today.

    Same, I am on PS5 and use my right stick to toggle text chat, however this no longer works and will only allow me to type in text chat if i am performing an action (climbing a ladder, manning a cannon, using the sails, etc...).

    Same situation here, I am unable to pull up text chat with the R toggle button which is the button I assigned to open chat on xbox. The whole text chat might be broken for the game or just consoles at the moment.

    Raise a support ticket if you haven't already. There's also a drowning audio bug where once you begin to drown everytime you touch the water until you die you instantly start hearing the audio. Not a fan 😅
